Moving toward evening on a warm day

Do
not
let
your
hearts be troubled. Believe in God;

Believe also in me.
John 1:1                                       Graves on Lindesfarn

Another Monday in the season of Easter

Deliverance belongs to the Lord,
                                     hallelujah!

                 Easter antiphon on Psalm 3
interesting and instructive that it is Deliverance
BELONGS TO and not just COMES FROM ...

The Second Sunday of Easter

We
declare
to you...
what
we
have
seen
with
our eyes, what we have looked at
and touched with our hands...

Saturday in Easter Week (My computer's been in the shop!!!)

Through Christ and
 in Christ
were
all things
created;
he is
the image
of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation, hallelujah.

Tuesday in Easter Week

The death that he died, he died
to sin once for all...
For as in Adam all die, so also
in Christ shall all be made alive. Alleluia
                                            The Pascha nostrum  Sometimes things just FLOW together. After the Pascha comes
the psalm and the antiphon is ”Bless the Lord, O my soul,
who redeems my life from the greave, hallelujah.”

Easter Gospel reading

“And after-wards Jesus himself sent out through them, from east to west, the sacred and imperishable proclamation
of eternal salvation."
Mark 16:8
                 I was astounded when I heard this.
I was sure I never HAD heard it before. It got my attention when they read it, so much so that I went back and reread it several times in church and then looked it up later at home.  But that's not what my Mark 16:8 Said.  So, much too full of Easter dinner, I Still went down to church to get the bulletin to see what it Did Say. aid. And when I looked it again there it was:  “The Shorter ending of Mark"
                                     And afterwards Jesus himself sent out through them, through us, the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. Astounding.
