O Lord, 

    what

of u? We are like a puff of wind, our 

days, are like a passing shadow. 

Bartholomew is known to us only by his being one of the 12 called by Jesus   to follow him.  His very name means  “Son of Tolmai. ” Both he and the verse  so perfectly combine the infinitesimal and inifinty in between which we live and move and have our being.
