Today we remember Joseph of Arimathea, who went to Pilate and got the body of Jesus and buried him in his own new tomb.

praise him an magnify him for ever. 

Pray for courage to do the right thing; for generosity of substance and spirit; for those who care for the dead and pre-pare, them for burial, (especially those who “die alone, unloved and unmourned” as the Taize Eucharistic Prayer; ) and for the sure and certain hope of the resurrection.
