As 

rain 

and 

snow

fall 

from 

the heavens… 

bringing life & giving growth, 

seed for sowing & bread for eating, so is 

my word; it will not return to me empty…

A faithful Episcopalian from 

her early adulthood, she was first female to serve in the U.S. presidential cab-inet. As Secretary of Labor from 1933–1945, 

she helped with the New Deal & Social Security.
