Monday Dec 12, the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe,

 Advent antiphon on 

 Canticle 9, Ecce, Deus 

 I 

will 

look

to the 

Lord; 

I will 

wait for 

the God 

of my salvation.

Today our near  nei-ghbors in Mexico cele-brate  the feast day 

of Our Lady of Guada-lupe when, in 1551, Mary appeared as a young Indian girl to Juan Diego, a Christ-ian Indian near present day Mexico City.  She told him to go tho the Bishop and tell him to build a church on the spot, a sacred Indian site…You an imag-ine how well that went…And 

the rest, as they say, is history. Mexican history. 

             Viva la Virgin de Guadalupe!
