The Feast of St Bartholomew, The Apostle,

                                                              The Venite

                                                  At  Morning Prayer 

Oh, that  

today you would hearken to God’s voice!  

 Like 
most of the original 12 apostles, Bartholomew 
is nearly a forgotten figure 
We know very little about  Bartholomew historically
… The reason the Church commemorates him, 
and all The Twelves, is not for their individual 
identitie , but of their apostolic call.” (Give Us This Day)

                                         We too, 

by our baptism, are called and sent, and we promise to “continue in the apostles teaching and  fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in the prayers.” (BCP Pg 304)
