would keep us free from harm this day. 
Would guard our hearts and tongues from strife, 
form anger’s would guard our life …
And I hear again  

the high, clear women’s  
voices singing in the 
chapel in the early 
morning light...

saying that everything he had written seemed like straw compared to what had been revealed to him. 
“Enlighten us more & more, we pray, by the disciplined thinking & teach-ing of Christian scholars, & deepen our devotion” by the indwelling of  your Holy Spirit. - Collect

*Today we commemorate the Ordination of Flor-ence Li Tim-Oi, (Beloved Daughter") the first woman priest ordained in the Anglican Commun-ion (which was of neces-sity, of course, and not by choice.) Born in Hong Kong in 1907, in 1941 Florence was ordained a deaconess. When Hong 
When Hong Kong fell to the Japanese, no priests could       get in, and the work needed        to go on, so on the Feast        of the Conversion of Saul     (tomorrow)in 1944 she was         ordained a priest. During the Cultural Rev-olution after the 
  Communists came to power, during the Cultural Revolution,  she was forced into a re-education camp. She was then   was forced to work on a farm and then in a factory. She was allowed to retire in 1974. In 1979 the churches reopened, and she resumed her ministry. To her joy, her ministry was recognized in the Diocese of Montreal and she resettle in Toronto, where she died on February 26, 1992.
