Hildegar]d, the 10th child in her family, was given as a “tithe” to the church and raised buy her aunt, the anchor-ess Jutta. Hildegard was a Benedictine, a mystic from a young age, a composer, and dramatist, (She wrote play in which the virtues, personalized, all sang, while the devil, was forced the speak con-demned to live without music) a preacher, prophet, doctor and scientist and a lover of all of God’s creation, things seen and unseen. In 2012 she was named a“Doctor of the Church.”
