The Eve of the Sunday after Ascenion Day

__________________________Luke 9:44_

 Jesus said

 to his

 disciples,

“Let these

 words sink

 into your ears.

 The Son of Man

 is going to be

 betrayed into

 human hands."

(3/5/17) The First Sunday in Lent

                                            I Corinthians1: 23-25

We proclaim Christ crucified, a stum-

bling block

to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles,

but to those who are being called,

both Jews and Greeks, Christ the

power of God and the wisdom of God.

For God’s foolishness  is wiser than human

wisdom, and God’s  weakness is

stronger than human strength.

Saturday evening

                                                               Psalm 116:11

   I

   will

   lift

   up

   the

   cup

   of salvation

and call upon the Name of the Lord.
