Tuesday

                       Revelation 21:5,6
                                 excerpted.

See,
am
making
all
things
new.
am
the Alpha and the Omega,
the beginning and the end.

Friday morning

                        2 Corinthians 4:6-7
It is the God who  said
“Let light shine out of darkness”
who has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in clay
jars, so that it may be made abun-
dantly clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not
                                     come from us.

And

Saturday after the Ascension

Come, Holy Spirit,  fill the hearts
of all people.
And kindle
in us the fire
of your love.
Send forth
your Spirit
 & we shall be
created & so
you renew the
face of the earth.

The traditional form of this  is:  “fill the hearts of the faithful.“
Should you need a theological justification for the change,
see Psalm 87 appointed today at Morning Prayer … inclusivity
goes as far back as the Chosen People  who also struggled with
the issue of EX-clusivity/INnclusivity. Why limit what we ask of her/him?

The Monday before Ascension Day

Easter Antiphon on Psalm 80
                                 I am the vine
and you are the branches, hallelujah.
