Monday toward evening

Jesus  stood up to read, and  he scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found a place where it was writ-ten, “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me bec-ause he has anoint-ed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to pro-claim release to the captives… to let the oppressed go free…”  

he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down… Then he began to say to them,…“Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” The truth is  there were many widows of Israel in the time of Elijah, with the heavens heaven was shut up three years in six months and there was a severe famine over all the land;  yet Elijah   to none of them except to a widow at Zarepath in Sidon... when they heard this… They were filled with rage.. 

I agree with Blaise Pascal:  plus ça change, plus c’est la même Chose.
