The Second Sunday of Advent

                             2 Peter 3:13

In accord-

ance with God’s promise, we wait for new heavens+a new earth,

          where righteousness is at home

Today we remember Nicholas Ferrar, 1592-1637 who founded a community at Little Gidding, memorialized in the famous fourth verse of the Fourth Quartets by TS Eliot, (1888-1965)

                                        Collect for Guidance

    we

    pray

    that …

    among

    all
    the

    cares

    and

    occu-
    pations

    of our
life we may not forget you

We shall not cease from ex-ploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started. And know the place for the first time.

Through the unknown, re-membered gate When the

last of earth left to dis-cover Is that which was

the beginning; At the source of the longest river The voice of the hidden waterfall…

The beginning of V 4 of The Four Quartets.
