Amen *This is one of the important l if unheralded changes in the 1979 BCP… In preceding Books of Common Prayer.. as in common supplication… …the phrase was incorrectly translated as “you will grant their requests” which was actually a conflation of 2 separate passages… The promise is not that God will do what we request but that he will be there come what may which is actually a bigger promise….
