theologian and martyr 

was killed by the Nazi's 

on his day for helping plot the death of Adolf Hitler. He is recognized as a 

martyr because, while he died for a political act, he did so because “he was convinced that not to do so would be a grea-ter evil.” .He was imprisoned just after he an-nounced his engagement: echoes of Jamal Kashoggis death. Following Jesus is not 
always straight forward or easy.
