 *Lillian Trasher (1887-1961)                           Missionary in Egypt        

 American born, Lillian Trasher felt called to go to Egypt where she and her sister set up in he village of Asyut near the Nile. In time, she  established an  orphanage which remains open today.  Her 50 year ministry spanned both World Wars. She  became known as the “Mother of the Nile”
