Psalm 121:1-2
I lift up my eyes
to the Lord;
from where is my help to come?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
This looks like North County,
but it is actually the hills around Jerusalem, the hills
to which the Psalmist lifted his eyes...
It was Cloverdale’s translation of the Psalms that Archbishop Cranmer chose to use in the Book of Com-mon Prayer, 1549. the progenitor of our and all Anglican BCPs.
