There’s a really interesting segment
on KQED’s The California Report,
available as a podcast, about the
local PBS station experience of
surviving the sfire and then abanon-
ning all their programming to report
just about ht efite fire follwed by
some some thoughts about gentrific-
ation of the area to date and that the
rebuilding and what is accelerate the
transition winery yuppywille, pushing
out the locals with high property
prices, much like what happened in Taos,
New Mexico, drastically , altering the
nature of the he community. (My com-
ment, not theirs.) It seem to me that this
kind of a transition from a palce where
workers and lower income peopel, just
folks, can live, to a place for the rich to
play is just the kind of thing that has
caused so much anger by people who
are being literlaly pushed out and have
no place in this economy.
One more comment nad I'll shut up: For
now. This makes it all the mroe improtant
for the People of God to HAVE A
THERE THERE and not continue to
drink the cool aid of big business but
to retun to the "wisom not of this age,"
to retrun to the Carpenter.
__________Lord, may your grace always
precede and follow us______________*
