   Nathan said to David, “You are the man.”

                          David did not shoot the arrow, 

but he killed Bathsheba’s husband Uriah just the same. Whether committed openly or plotted and committed in secret as a cover up, evil is always exposed, sin has consequences. At the end of to-

days reading Nathan says that the child born

 of this will die. Don’t go down the rabbit hole 

here - this is not story about God killing an in-

nocent child. There’s a great quote from a 2017

 Forward Day by Day I just came across again 

just yesterday:  “The risk of literalism is that it 

chooses information over transformation.”

Born in Moscow, at 17 he entered a  monastery and lived the rest of his life under those vows. For a while he liv-
ed as a hermit, but at age 37, he went with a small group to Alsaka, where
              he remained. He died on Spruce Island at 81
