 In the

 morning, 

 Lord, you 

  hear my voice; 

  early in the

  morning 

  I make my 

  appeal and 

  watch for you.

The former, whose mother was deaf and whose father began a school for the deaf, began the  ministry to the deaf in the Epis-copal Church. He encouraged the latter, who had lost his hearing as a child,  and he became the  first deaf person
to be ordained a priest in the Church.
