The Prayer Book rubrics say that Easter Day is always the Sunday after the full moon that occurs on or after the spring equinox. Today being the the spring equinox, Wednesday, the full moon and the beginning of the Passion, and so Easter is…. drumroll please! …. next Sunday, the 27th! (The Eastern Orthodox are way later than the Western Church this year because their rubrics say that the Pascal feast cannot occur until after the Passover is celebrated, which this year is April 22!
