      673 -735  

        widely 

regarded as the greatest of all the Anglo-Saxon scholars,  helived and died in notheaster England in between the twin  monasteries of  Wearmouth and Jarrow (a-bout 23 minutes apart by car.) where he wrote or translated or translated some 40 

books on practically every area of knowledge, 

including nature, as-tronomy & poetry.  His most famous book, is The Eccles-iastical History of the English People for which he is called "the Father of English History."          Grant that, as he
