May 31, 2022: The Visitation of Mary and her cousin Elizabeth

God’s
house

the confidence and the pride
that belong to hope.
I love this day - it reminds me that faith, while being an intimate journey, is not a solitary venture, but that “we get by
with a little help from our friends.”
As soon as she realizes what has happened to her,
Mary travels to visit her cousin Elizabeth. The angel
Gabriel had told her as a sign that “nothing is im-
possible for God,” that her cousin Elizabeth, who
was older and had never been able to conceive,
was 6 months pregnant. She went and stayed
with her until after her child, John, was born.
