Yesterday on the calendar we com-memorated Aidan, Celtic monk & missionary sent from Iona rather than Canterbury who died in 651, & today it’s David Pendleton Oaker-hater, deacon & missionary, known among
the Cheyenne of Oklahoma as “God’s warrior,” who died in 1931. Now it is you and I you who are sent out as
missionaries of the Good News of God in Chirst.
