The Commemoration of the Beheading of John the Baptist

        The 

        arc 

        of 

        the 

        moral 

        universe 

        may 

        bend 

        toward 

        justice, 

    but it does not bend on its own.

                                          on the 50th anniversary 
                                          of the March on Washington
                                          and Martin Luther King Jr’s
                                         “I have a  dream” speech. 

                           And sadly today, wherever Republicans
                          are in charge of state governments they 
                          are trying to restrict voters rights.
