It was a children’s sermon today so Fr Tom asked the kids about details of the story ... who were the 3 guys? Were they kings? No, it says they were wise men. What were they following? A star - right. What were they looking for for? A king. And they found? A baby. Where do kings live? In palaces. Do you think they expected to find a baby? No. You kids have a nice long life in front of you, he said. Go searching in your life. But sometimes you will find something different than you were expecting,– like the wise men who found a baby rather than the king they were looking for. This has happened to all of us here. Maybe we went looking for a coin and found a friend. Or we went looking for a lost sheep and someone stayed with the other 99. LOOK and when you find something different than you were not expecting - pay attention. Stop and give your gifts.
