Jeremiah 36: 23 32
As 3 or 4 columns were read, the king would cut them off with
a penknife & throw them
into the fire in the brasier until the entire scroll was consumed in the fire…
after this, the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah: "take another scroll…" Then Jeremiah
took another scroll and gave it to the secretary who wrote it on it at Jeremiah's dictation all the words of the scroll that King Jehoiakim King of Judah had burned in the
fire and many similar
words were added
* Ignatius Bishop of Antioch
counted as the Second Bishop of Syria.
Born in the year 35, he was
martyred at Rome in 108.
