       see 

       that 

       the Lord is good, 

       happy are they who trust in him.

 St James became one of Jesus’ inner circle. He and his brother John were fishermen nicknamed by Jesus nicknamed “Boanerges,” the Sons of Thunder, being hot headed.

According to 

biblical accounts,  

James was martyred by King 

Herod and,  by tradition his body , 

taken to Compostela Spain  Yes,

THAT Santiago de Compostela)

The Camino remains a popular route for pilgrims and hikers today.  

The photogrpahs are by my cousin Christina who walked the Camino  with her sister Nelia in 2015. The figs go  

with the verse because I remember 

our paternal grandmother picking figs 

from the garden, peeling, slicing and serving them to me with cream and sugar when I was really little.  Yum! 

I picked the picture of St James because it has his brother John and his father Zebedee and the story of our cll always involes others. 

      

Where we begin does not look much like where we end up, and therein lies the tale for us all.
