A Day of Prayer for the People of Syria

The sea 

is His 

for He 

made it, 

and His 

hands have 

molded the dry land..

Almighty God, source of life and peace,

hear the cries of the people of Syria. 

Bring healing to those suffering from violence, 

and comfort those who mourn for their dead.

Empower Syria’s neighbor’s, and the world,* 

in their care and welcome of refugees. 

Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms,

strengthen the resolve of those committed to peace, and 

Inspire the world community to find solutions 

that look to a future of peace built on justice for all. 

We ask all this in the the power of the Holy Spirit ,

in  Name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen
