To quote Rick Perry, “Oops.” It turns out that “The righteous Gentiles" is today. But I've added a comment to it, so take a look That being the case, today we will go with the person in Give Us This Day put out by the Liturgical Press: Cicely Saunders (1918–2005) founder of the hospice movement.

                                                Psalm 37:3

Put
your
trust
in the
Lord
and do good;
dwell in the land
and feed on its riches.
               Cicely Saunders
was a nurse, social worker,
and finally a physician who had undergone a conversion during her youth. She believed that ‘a patient is more than the collection of their symptoms’ and in 1967 founded the first hospice, Saint Christopher’s  in London in1967.
              "You matter because you are you and you matter to the end of your life. We will do all that we can not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die".
               Cicely died of breast cancer in her own hospice on July 14, 2005.
