Samuel Isaac Joseph Schereschewsky (1831-1906) Bishop of Shanghai 1877 until 1883, when he became paralyzed. He completed his translation of the Bible into Wenli, typing some 2,000 pages with the middle finger of his partially paralyzed hand. A hero of our friend George Higgins.
