Today Give us This Day commemorates Fannie Lou Hamer (b. 1917) Civil Rights Leader who died on this date in 1977

                                      Psalm 90:2

Before the mountains were brought forth
or the earth and
the land
were made, from age to age, you are God.

“Christianity is about being concerned with your fellow
man, not building a
million dollar church while propel are starving right around the corner. Christ was a revolutionary person,
out there where it was happening, That’s what God
is all about, and that’s where
                     I get my strength.
 Fannie Lou Hamer
Civil rights used to mean to me the past but it is obviously altogether contemporary….“ The Work Goes On, The Cause Endures, The Hope Still Lives, And The Dream Shall Never Die.’ I thought that was Martin Luther King but it’s Ted Kennedy!
